I'm Finally Done! Now not knowing what to do.

This is Tom Its been a long to posting something on here of course I dont think anyone hardly ever reads our blog that much anymore anyways so I'm not expecting much response really! Here's the news anyways over the last year and a half or so I have been attentending school(college) At Stevens-Heneger online going for my degree in Buisness Management W/ Account - empahisis in porperty management yeah I know seems like a big ole title and everything. Even though its only my associates degree I still feel plenty proud of my self for such a great accomplishment such as this. I will recieve my actual degree by mail sometime in december then in june of 2014 I will be able to attend graduation so thats something to really look forward too. I'm very excited to attend a second graduation in life. Im very greatful for this wonderful oppurtunity Well Im looking out for jobs in my area of study so hopefully something will come along at some point down the road. Currently im working at a place in Driggs called Basin Burger its where burger king use to be. Its been a great job but I decided that I needed something more in my life then just a high school diploma so I took the plunge I'm hoping that by taking the plunge I'm hoping it will pay off down the road. Well just wanted to make that little update in our lives. Everything else is going good so far we are just living life and trying to enjoy life but we love life and will continue to do so even in the future.

update for now

In the month of February we had the opporunity to go to Salt Lake City to pick up my parents and my baby brother from the airport. He has served a two year mission in Lansing Michigan.  That was so awesome.  He has grown both physically and most definitely spiritual.

Wow, I am back but nothing much is happenin in our Lives.  Tom is still working at Basin Burger which is a way awesome place to eat here in Teton Valley.  Then he will graduate with his associate degree in Business Management /Accounting in September so he is doing well there.  I am still working hard at my job.

So I thought that we were getting into spring but nope, we ending getting a big snow storm and it ended with slush and snow.  Well even though I wasnt going very fast I ended spinning into a snow bank.  The truck is tough with mininal damage but yep I am bruised but no other harm done.

I have also found my favorite soda from back south.  Cheerwine ya so awesome.

Well like I said there is not much going on in our lives.  Tom and I's lives are pretty boring.

I would like to set a goal on losing weight but it's been so hard.  My goal by my birthday which is May 11th is to lose 20 lbs, which that means I need to work extra hard on exercising and eating right.  So hopefully whoever reads this will help me with that goal.  I am hoping that by exercising and losing the weight that we can add a little one to our family here this year.

Forgiveness and Christ's Love

Well it's been awhile since I have made the time to really blog.  Life can change so fast whether it be for the good or the bad.  I am just thankful that they year has gone and we have gone on with our life for the better.  We continue to grow despite what life throws at us.  I just know that I am so grateful for family and friends that has been there.  I am especially grateful for Heavenly Father and him listen to countless hours of prayers.  I am grateful for the many prayers that have been offered for my family.  Not only through this year but through the past year.  I am grateful for the atoning sacrifice of our  Brother Jesus Christ.  I am grateful for him making the ultimate sarcifice to die for each and everyone of us so that we can live with Our Heavenly Father and Mother again.  I am grateful for eternal marriage and the priesthood.  We would not have gotten through any of our trials with out the priesthood blessings and prayers.  I found these quotes and thought I would share. President Uchtdorf is amazing along with President Monson and President Erying.  Once again I am so grateful for the wonderful gospel in my life.

Wherever you are, whatever the circumstances may be, you are not forgotten. No matter how dark your days may seem, no matter how insignificant you may feel, no matter how overshadowed you think you may be, your Heavenly Father has not forgotten you, in fact, He loves you, with an infinite love."
                                - President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

And another excellent one:

"Trials give us opportunities to show the Lord and ourselves that we will be faithful. We can choose to feel sorry for ourselves and ask, "Why me?" or we can grow from our trials, increase our faith in the Lord, and ask, "How can I be faithful in the midst of this trial?" We can let adversity break us down and make us bitter, or we can let it refine us and make us stronger. We can allow adversity to lead us to drift away from the things that matter most, or we can use it as a stepping-stone to grow closer to things of eternal worth."
- Larry Richman

Families are Forever and my Angel

This past week has been a hard but peaceful week.  I had to say goodbye for a short time to my angel of a grandmother.  On June 1, 2012 my beloved grandma Treva Hill Dewey went home to our heavenly parents and the family that has passed on.  Wednesday June 6, 2012 I went to my Grandma Treva Hill Dewey Funeral.  There are so many times that I think she should still be here and that I will see her when I go to their house or even at church or even in town.  UMMMM tears rolling down the cheeks knowing that she is in a better place and is able to laugh, smile and be with her parents which she hasn't seen her dad for over 70 years and her mom over 15 years.  what a joyous reunion that was.  I know that she is playing with those family members that have since gone on from this earth playing running, laughing, watching over us that are here on this earth.  I am so grateful for forever families.  I know that her family here on this earth misses her dearly and yes it has only been less then a week.  I know that she is our angel that is watching over us this very minute.  There are angels among us.  She is my angel and has always been,  I am very grateful for Eternal life and the love that we have our families. Families are Forever that is how I am getting through each day knowing that I will be able to see her again.  my Grandma will always be in my heart.  Thank you grandma for everything that you have done for me in my life and every moment you were there for me.  Your amazing wonderful, sweet angel.

Updates

So there is not much to update really in our lives.  We are working and trying to live life to the fullest.  Tom found a job as a place called Basin Burgers,  He is also going to school online through the Steven Heinger College, He is doing good and enjoy that. Memorial Day just passed but doesnt seem like it though,  Here in the Valley where we live most years there is still snow on the ground but this year we actually had a spring and now going into summer, hopefully.  The mountains have snow but the valley floors don't have any snow, YEAH.  Enough about that, I am so grateful for the Atonement in my life and how that when love ones die we will be able to see them again.  I am proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Baptism/Birthday Gifts

So I teach the CTR 7 class which is the year that turns 8 years old. I was trying to decided what to give my kids for their special birthday and here is what I have came up with.  So far there has only been 2 birthdays but here is the finished project so far.
This one was for Bayley

This one was for Chase

The gift of the Holy Ghost

So my lesson today is on the Gift of the Holy Ghost.  It asked these questions on flowers so instead of individual flowers for each of the kids, I decided to be creative and make these pin wheel flowers.  It was way fun and excited to give them to my CTR 7 class

Wednesday, January 4, 2012

Wow Christmas and the New Year is over, let the new Year begin!!!!!  I have many things to be grateful for.  I have a wonderful Husband that keeps me going.  We support each other despite trials that go on in our lives.  Our love grows stronger and stronger each day.  I will never take for granted the love and support from my husband and others.  I am grateful for the Atonement of the Savior and the sacrifice that He gave to us so that we are able to go back and live with Him and our Father in Heaven one day.  I am grateful to start the new year off with great family and friends.  I hate that I have lost one of my best friends but you know life goes on and when one door shuts another door opens or even a window.  I am grateful for an amazing LDS ward.  I have learned how important the Priesthood Power of the Gospel is.  I am very grateful for amazing Home teachers and visiting teachers and there willingness to be there when times are tough spiritually.  I am grateful for the power of prayer.  I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers are prayers.  We all need to exercise that Faith like Alma talked about in Alma 32 in the Book Mormon, in our lives.  I am way excited to be able to teach the CTR 7 class in Primary this year.  To learn and teach that age that is turning 8 and watch how they progress in the Gospel.
Thank you to all my family and friends that have been there for Tom and I this past year.  Thank you for your example of the Savior's love.
May it be an awesome 2012 year.

You Know His Number

This poem was on my cousin's blog and I borrowed it, Thanks Kelsey I really needed to hear this and to remind me How important Talking with Our Heavenly Father.

You Know His Number
His line is never busy,
Pick you your phone and see.
You will always be able to reach Him,
Just drop to your knees.
You have unlimited minutes,
I know you have always been told,
And I will guarantee one thing,
You'll never be ask "will you hold?"
I'm not a "little prayer rock",
So don't tuck me in your drawer.
Don't put me under your pillow,
Or chuck me on the floor.
But keep me close beside you,
And use me all the time.
For in this world around us,
Satan's at his prime.
You can call when you need Him,
Or just to have a chat.
Just bow your head and call,
"Heavenly Father, where are you at?"
And when there's an emergency,
No need to dial 911.
Just close your eyes and say,
"Help me out or forgive me for what I have done."
It's never too late to call Him,
He never goes to bed.
Remember, "ask and ye shall receive",
Is what He said.
So next time when you're feeling down,
Or maybe feeling blue.
Just pick you your little prayer phone,
He'd love to hear from you.

Gratitude

My heart is full of Gratitude today. The Number one thing that I am grateful for is the Atonement of Jesus Christ and how He has made it possible for All of us to repent and return to Live with Our Father in Heaven. I am very grateful for answered prayers.  I know that Heavenly Father hears and answers prayers.  I know that He answers them in His own due time.  We are really on the Lord's time here on earth.  I am very grateful for the Spirit of Disserment and how powerful priesthood blessings can be.   I am grateful for my husband, his love, and his willingness to keep going when things are tough.  I am VERY VERY Grateful for family members, friends and my ward family.  Though Challenges in life I have gained a greater testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I have a gained a greater appriecation and understanding of Home Teachers and Visiting Teachers.  I am so grateful for true friends and family that stick by your side no matter the challenges that happen in Life.  I am grateful for new friendships that I have gained through out this past year.  I am grateful for the many new skills that I have learned in life(Especially farming which I am able to keep going next year, I am way excited).  I know that life has challenges and things can get tough but through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the love of my husband Tom, family and many friends I have been able to keep my chin up and keep going.

THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart to my Family and Friends especially my new Friends that have been there for Tom and I this year.  I am deep in debt to you all.  Thank you for helping me with keeping my faith when things are tough.

Never ending Work but well taught :)

Tom has had the opportunity to work with Vaughn on a tractor.  I am so proud of him for trying new things he has never done, This is just one day into a night that he has been working.  Keep up the Good Work. I will have to say that this work really does make you appreciate how hard all types of farmers work.  Thank you to all farmers out there for their hard work and willingness for their jobs.  Someone told me once that if you don't have fun working then it will be the most boring job but as you have fun at work you enjoy it more then just a normal routine job.    :)  The Blue Tractor's name is Berkley but I hit the save button before I could fix it

Happy Happy Birthday Dear Sweet Wife!!!!

Michelle turns 32 today, enjoyed having the time with her at night, which is not very often, we just relaxed, since we went and did things on Saturday and spent time at my mom's and her mom's house.  For both of our birthdays we watched fast 5 fast and Furious sequel this past weekend.  I got her some balloons and we went to dinner at New Star Chinese here in Teton Valley.
Honey I just want to tell you how wonderful you are, You are amazing.  I hope that you had a wonderful birthday, Love you so much.

This was her cake that her co-workers gave to her at work today. Yum Yum.
This bouqet of flowers we got for Marissa Joe's girlfriend since she had just gotten her gallblatter out.  Marissa we hope you are feeling better. We love you lots.

Mother's Day Weekend

It was so exciting to hear from my brother Joe, he sounds so exciting and so happy.  It was fun to be able to do 3 way calling to my grandparents in Victor, and aunts and uncles.  We talked for 3 hours and 21 mins, that is what my dad's cell phone said after we had gotten off.  He is doing well on his mission and loving every bit of the time he has been there.  Joe has marked his 3 month mark about 3 weeks ago.  It seems that is just left just yesterday time sure does fly.

It was exciting to be with my mom on Mother's Day, Happy Mother's Day Mom!!!!
